The Needham Sportsman's Club is a fly-fishing only trout
pond located ½-mile from the center of Needham, Massachusetts.
"Trout Pond" is stocked twice yearly with good-sized rainbow
and brown trout. As all fishing is catch-and-release, there is a solid
population of holdover trout for early season fishing after ice-out.
The club features:
- Fly fishing only
- Catch-and-release
- Stocked rainbow and brown trout from 10" to 20"
- Monthly meetings w/presentations, slide shows
- Spring and Fall "Opening Days"
- Numerous holiday raffles and drawings
- Junior and Adult memberships

The club meets every third Thursday, September through June, at the
clubhouse on the property. Members bring everything from fly-tying gear
to favorite rods, trip photographs and tall tales.
Change in Monthly Meeting time:
The official meetings now begin at 7:30pm. People start wandering
in as early as 6:30 to tie flies and swap lies. Unless otherwise indicated
food is not provided.

February elections saw Vice President Jon Cave move up
to President, with three new vict... ah, nominees elected to the other
positions. Outgoing President Dave Matthes moves to the Board, and two
new directors were elected. I guess congrats are in order ~~
Spring 2008 Opening Day was a major success. How was the fishing?
Put it this way, Dave Matthes blew the dust off his reel and caught three fish in
the first 20 minutes...
The newsletter is in good hands with Bob Lynch at the
helm. Now if the web guy would just keep the site up to date...
