Fall 2008 Opening Day
Monthly Meetings now at 7:30
The Needham Sportsman's Club is a fly-fishing only
trout pond located ½-mile from the center of Needham, Massachusetts.
"Trout Pond" is stocked twice yearly with good-sized rainbow,
brook and brown trout. As all fishing is catch-and-release, there is
a solid population of holdover trout for excellent early season fishing
right after ice-out.
The club features:
- Fly fishing only
- Catch-and-release
- Stocked rainbow and brown trout from 10" to 20"
- Monthly meetings w/presentations, slide shows
- Spring and Fall "Opening Days"
- Holiday dinners with raffles and drawings
- Junior and Adult memberships
- "Members-only" web pages
- Bulletin board with public and members sections
- Online registration and payment
The club meets every third Thursday, September through June, at the
clubhouse on the property. Members bring everything from fly-tying gear
to favorite rods, trip photographs and tall tales.
The official meetings now begin at 7:30pm. People start wandering
in as early as 6:30 to tie flies and swap lies. Unless otherwise indicated
food is not provided.
If you are interested, plan on joining us to learn more about the club
and meet some of our members.
Register for our forum and ask your questions online. You can also
join the club online by subscribing to the Members-only forum after
registering.
We hope to see you at the pond!
